Summer Theater Camp for Neurodiverse Children
During camp your child will learn a variety of skills in a fun, silly, and authentic theater based camp experience. Campers will learn about problem solving, perspective taking, conversational skills, imitation, feelings, and teamwork from a certified Speech and Language Pathologist. Camp activities will focus on learning these skills through direct teaching, theater games, group activities, and performing skits and scenes. Each week we will pair a different social skill with a short play or book. Campers will talk about the social skill in the context of the play as well as theater games, and art activities. We will spend the week rehearsing the play, making sets and costumes, and performing for each other at the end of the week.

Winter Level 2 Acting Class
When: Saturdays 10-11 AM
Dates: January 6th-March 16th* *no class January 20th Where: Taborspace, Portland Cost: $259** This 10 week acting class builds on the skills that were learned in the Level 1 class. Students will work more on problem solving, flexible thinking, and perspective taking through improvisation exercises and scene work. Actors will work on a longer production to be performed at the end of the term. Friends and family can join us for the culminating performance! Students must have attended the Level 1 class to register for Level 2. This class is taught by a certified Speech and Language Pathologist. *Please read the refund policy on the FAQ page. |
